Buying Your First Home

Buying your first home is exciting, empowering, and satisfying. It’s also daunting, intimidating, and stressful – very, very stressful.

With real estate prices soaring in our corner of the country, it’s no wonder that most non-owners feel like homeownership is simply unattainable. While I agree it’s getting harder, I do believe it is possible and I do believe I can get you there. I will work with you now to evaluate your credit report and see what we can do to shape up your beacon score. I can help you create a financial plan (or introduce you to a financial advisor) that will put you on an unstoppable path of saving for your downpayment, to ultimately realize your homeownership goals.

My job is to alleviate as much of the complicated parts of the process as I can, leaving only the joy that is walking into your new home for the first time. I will oversee all of the details from making sure your financing fits with your life and the type of home you purchase, to being your liaison between lender and lawyer. I will help you piece it all together and make sure there aren’t going to be any surprises.

I’ll also be your guide for the years to follow. Setting up your mortgage for the first time doesn’t conclude my work for you. I’ll track your rates and compare them with the market; if there is ever a benefit for you to make a change to save money, I’ll be in touch. If your goals change, we’ll work through it. It’s my job to make sure you’re saving as much as possible through your life as a homeowner, the life you create within the house is up to you.
