Mortgage professionals are paid directly by the lender that your mortgage is placed with. It’s NOT added on top of your mortgage amount, it’s NOT financed over the course of your mortgage and it’s definitely NOT secretly hidden in the folds, I PROMISE.
There are occasions where a mortgage professional may negotiate a fee with you. For example, when the financing is of unconventional nature or if it’s arranged through a private lender – but this is discussed and arranged well before you begin the process.
